Pull yourself up when you are down and go higher than you could before. It may take a few tries, but eventually you realize you are more flexible after a little warm-up... Just like in life, if you get knocked down, get right back up. After a little experience, you know what the right thing to do next is 💯
So thankful for how much God has blessed my life! I have a great family, great career, great friends and community, and also a super special relationship between God and I. I seriously would be nothing without Him! 💕 I love days like these that you can look back, push aside all the “complaints” about life and just be thankful for what’s been given. It has been a crazy last couple days of holiday festivities! My hubby and I just got home from our anniversary vacation and went right into thanksgiving with both my husband’s and my side of the family (not to mention we crammed some Black Friday shopping in). I definitely am feeling the sleep deprivation, but it is totally worth it! It’s so good to be close to those who you love and celebrate together! 🦃 What was your guys’ favorite dish this thanksgiving???
It took me 18 months but I worked myself back up to 6 miles 🏃🏻‍♀️ . Two months ago I ran a 5K, and I was in so much pain from where I had my c-section I didn’t think I would be able to run further. . These two races were the first races I’ve trained for by pairing strength training workouts with my jogs, and I guess it worked! I no longer have the crippling lower abdomen soreness after 5 and 6 miles jogs 💃🏻 . The 5K I ran with 3 other friends and Chris and baby James met us at the start and finish, then I ran the 10K and didn’t see another person I knew the whole time. . Do you prefer running alone or with friends? . There are many reasons why I like running with friends, but if I’m honest I prefer running alone (probably because I don’t get as competitive and burn out 😜) . My pace was actually quicker for this longer race, even though I did more strength workouts than actual jogs. Feeling strong 💪💪 I also love that this meant I was able to spend more time at home (working out in my living room) and out of the elements (hello 28° winter days). . I’ll probably retire the jogs and stick to my at home workouts until the spring, unless we have another nice weekend day in the 50s like today ☀️
