Yesterday's food was 👌🏼😋👏🏼 I am so obsessed with turkey sausages!! I could have them every night. The only thing is they are quite high in carbs (for the Keto macros anyway). Still kept my carbs to 45g yesterday which was pretty good seeing as I burned over 1,000 calories yesterday! Mixing in a rep here and there. So I’ve mentioned that I’m mostly off working out for at least the month, here’s why: I’m completely burned out. I have adrenal fatigue, that has crushed most of my hormones and I’m just running on empty. The silver lining in all of this is that I’ve become so much more educated on how the body works and how to better take care of it. And as it turns out, the main thing that went wrong for me (and I’m becoming more and more convinced this is the case with most active people) is that I was severely under-fueled. What’s challenging with this issue is that so many fitness markers went up over the years. But my general health went down. To sustain the level of activity I was demanding from my body without proper amounts of fuel, many natural functions had to slow down to survive. The fact is, you shouldn’t be tired all the time. You shouldn’t struggle to lose body fat when you workout like I have and eat as cleanly as I did. It shouldn’t take days to recover normal workouts. And you should be able to sleep through the night on a very regular basis. If you are feeling unhealthy in any way, it’s because you ARE unhealthy. There is ALWAYS time to make a change and turn things around. Find people who know what the hell they’re talking about and, most importantly, you need to be a positive advocate for yourself. Do whatever it takes to be happy and healthy and the rest will follow! I swear, it's my passion for sharing how easy and freaking delicious healthy can be that keeps me coming back! I present to you, tonight's dinner: Low carb, soy-free, and gluten-free Mongolian Chicken! This dish took a little time (still under an hour) because I chose to flash fry the chicken strips in coconut oil (about 2-3 min per side. They are sliced pretty thin). Cauliflower rice in place of regular rice, coconut aminos vs soy sauce, and stir-fried veggies (broccoli, cabbage, snow peas) made this a veggie-rich and healthy dish without losing the flavor AT ALL! My starting weight as of Monday 24/10/2017. Not my heaviest but came as a surprise because I thought I was heavier than 130kg. Goes to show your mind is your greatest enemy, time to reprogram. Fear is your enemy, overcome that fear and take control. This is something I struggle with every day. I eat crappy food because I am sad about my weight so it makes me feel better and then get sad because I eat crap. Vicious cycle. Must kill this cycle and move forward!
